I think Dr. Schaffer was an excellent professor. She was ALWAYS open and encouraging to knew interpretations of poems and readings. And if the interpretation was way off she wouldn't make it so obvious to were you feel embarrase, and for that reason she made me feel comfortable in class. Her class is not hard at all, especially if you attend class regularly. There's not a lot of reading like other classes. She was always willing to help and always wore a smile on her face. She grades very fair, and her take home exams are awesome. I can't wait to have her as a professor again. She has definately tought me a lot on poetry in just one class.
