Loved the prof! She was so sweet and understanding about the circumstances in the pandemic. She'd extend deadlines and give us plenty of time to complete assignments. It was really nice to talk with her, she was always trying her best to get everyone to engage. There were a lot of breakout room activities, which are always awkward regardless of the class. The class was pretty discussion-based, but it wasn't intimidating to participate the way it is in other classes.
I was not interested in the course topic (medical humanities) before the class, but she made it interesting, and I really enjoyed the content! The readings were pretty short, not a heavy workload AT ALL. I would definitely take a class with her again.
Dr Drissi is an excellent professor who made lectures fun and let us have interesting topics to write about. For my final paper, she even allowed me to write about the Disney film Tangled, which actually made the writing fun. She does not ask a lot of her students other than to show up for class having read our required reading and participate in class discussions. She always makes herself available during office hours and give multiple opportunities for extra credit, which I should have done since it would have let me have an A. Overall, a funny and awesome professor who made writing fun!
