I took music history 61 with her and she started off the first day of class saying she understood it was a GE so she wouldn't make it too difficult. While I think she gave a decent amount of work, it was never too hard. We had 2 5 page papers to write, both weren't too hard and i think were graded fairly. The only negative is she tends to digress a lot during her lectures and they can at times be boring, but it's a great class to take overall (I literally analyzed Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus songs for one of my papers, not too bad)

I took Music History 78 (the Beatles) with Levitz and thought it was pretty easy. The only thing you absolutely have to do is attend lecture and take excellent notes. She does post the lecture slides but she intentionally does not include useful information on them so you have to come to class. The readings are long and somewhat interesting, but you do not have to read them fully. She gives you a study guide for the midterm and final, and if you know all the information on that then you can easily ace them both. Just take some notes on the readings from her study guide and you'll be fine. There are also two papers due which are pretty easy. Overall fun class in which you can easily get an A and learn a lot of great info about the Beatles!
