I am a Computer Science student. I haven't written a single review in my 4 years.

But I had to write a review this time because I thoroughly enjoyed 5w taught by Dr. Chichester.
Amazing professor. Light load, enjoyable content. She understands students very well. She is very patient and tries her best to see good in her student's answers. Her positivity spreads across the class. Also, very wise and eloquent without sounding patronizing. She is a compassionate professor who respects students' opinions.

I actually learned to write in this class, unlike in most other English courses I took. Dr. Chichester broke all of my stereotypes of a typical English Class. She helped me see what writing is supposed to be. Truly eye-opening. There need to be more professors like Dr. Chichester!!!

Discussion sections were class-wide discussions led by the professor. She genuinely responded to our comments and guided the discussion in a natural, thoughtful way. Participation definitely matters!

My class was one day online, one day in person. I didn't mind the format. The class was themed around environmentalism, and though I probably wouldn't have selected the class if I knew this, I ended up enjoying all the different perspectives she showed us.

As an engineering major, I thought this class was a great gen-ed writing class. It was more focused on concise composition rather than literary analysis, though we had our fair share of narrative, poetry, exposition, and even a documentary. Our grade consisted of participation/attendance, journals, a presentation, and an essay (we received plenty of one-on-one support).
