Summer 2025 - crazy workload for an online ge, especially as the first anthro course. feels like a helicoptered high school course and not a college class. more focused on getting everything done vs actually learning/retaining the information expect 6 to-dos on your canvas each week. 2 midterms and 1 final reading guides for every chapter due before lecture inquizitive quizzes for every chapter due before lecture. to use this you must pay for the textbook or get the inquizitive subscription. one google about inquizitive shows how much students hate it. iclicker used during lecture/attendance required weekly group assignment weekly group practice exam weekly self reflection grading seems to be based on participation. modules are released weekly. avoid if you hate busywork. i'm not sure if this is this instructor's first time teaching, but it is an /insane/ amount of small busy assignments. she's quite nice, but i can't believe this is the type of education im paying for.
