I took Math 120A, and I couldn’t find the right place to leave a review, so I’ll just write it here!
Out of all the math courses I’ve taken, his homework workload was the LIGHTESTTTT and MOSTTT manageable. Definitely appreciated.
The exams were tough, but to be fair, I think that’s just the nature of the material(Or I'm stupid -> YES). He provides a practice exam.... it doesn’t match exactly, but if you try to focus on what he’s emphasizing, it helps quite a lot.
He replies to emails very quickly and tries to be helpful. (Though at the end the tone felt a bit more cold... not a big deal)
I liked his lectures. The way he organized material through his own notes made it way easier to follow than relying on the textbook alone.
The midterm was ok but the final is really hard. Be sure to study everything in great depth if you want to get good grades from this class. The professor’s notes were clear but his lectures are somewhat boring. I probably would never take it again.
I was pleasantly surprised with this course since I didn't know what to expect. This class was way more enjoyable compared to 131A, but it really depends on whether you like proofs or not. The professor was well prepared during lectures and structured them in a way that was easy to follow. He also uploaded notes online so that I could look back at examples which was helpful for the homework assignments. There were only four assignments which were spaced out so I didn't feel overwhelmed.
