For graduate E&M, Troy definitely makes the material far more manageable. He recorded every lecture and posted them on BruinLearn. He is clear about what material you need to know and makes the effort to answer any and all questions with earnest. I appreciate that he'll admit when he doesn't necessarily know something. He *wants* everyone in the class to grasp the material and will spend time making sure that happens. "If my class is not easy then I'm not doing my job properly". Both the midterm and final are curved on the same scale as the composite exam: 50%> is a B (passing). He gives plenty of partial credit where this is a perfectly achievable goal. Great professor, and very kind too!
