To start with, the exams were really really hard. I don't know how to stress how impossibly tough the in-person midterm was. The Matlab homeworks were not explained well enough, in my opinion. Those often took a lot of time out of my week. The final was better, but definitely still quite tough.
The professor curved me an entire letter grade higher than what my raw grade would've been.
You will grind for the midterm and then crash out at how bad it went. You have been warned.
(If you try your best, you'll do fine, but your mental health will be nonexistent)
content is hard but prof is rly good. notes always posted and easy to understand. recorded 8am lectures. one midterm one final; not easy but definitely doable if you have a good grasp of the content. he also hella curved this class and grading was rly fair in general. prof is rly nice and good at explaining everything. definitely would recommend taking 82 with him. personally i really enjoyed this class. i will say the matlab homework took a really long time and was pretty hard (i suck at coding) but the examples used in them were genuinely interesting and cool once you figured out how to code it. if i took class again i would def do matlab hw ahead of time and ask questions on how to do it in oh instead of asking chat gpt how to do everything. the matlab content is gone over in discussion but not lecture and not to the depth you need for hw. the matlab portion on midterm was lite work tho and no matlab on final.
