Awesome class, I learned so much! I am selling the course readers for both fall and winter quarters for this class (20A and 20B). The course readers have a couple notes/highlighted areas but overall legible, and at a cheap price. Email me if you are interested at *************. Thanks!

This was a great overall class. It takes care of a lot of GEs and it's really applicable to a lot of other classes you'll take in UCLA. There is a lot of reading, but it's doable.

Selling :
Bad Indians - $15
Writer's Reference: Hacker - $40
2017 Fall CR - $45
2017 Winter CR - $45

Prices are negotiable: *************

This class definitely taught me a lot about our history, from a fresh point of view. It can be a lot of (unnecessary) reading at times, but the workload is definitely manageable. Overall, I would only suggest taking this class if you're truly passionate about the subject at hand. AKA don't take this class for an easy A.

This class can be difficult if you don't do the readings. It's a lot and can be overwhelming, but worth the work. In the fall you have 2 papers and one midterm exam. In the spring you have 2 papers and one final exam. Section participation and lecture participation (clickers) count towards your grade for both quarters as well. The papers are fairly easy if you read the course reader and go to section. The midterm exam is easy as well - you just have to define terms. The final exam was a bit more difficult, consisting of multiple essays, but doable. I found the lectures to be interesting but thats because I thoroughly enjoy this subject. This class allows you to knock out a lot of GE's which is really nice. I wouldn't take this class if you don't find the subject to be intriguing - you'll be bored to death. I'd take it again though.

I'm selling the 2018 fall and 2019 winter course readers for a lot cheaper than you'd buy them new for. Each were about $70 brand new.

Useless lectures with useless topics covered if I'm being honest. I went to 2/20 lectures for this class and got a 98% in the class! So ya.... this class is an easy GPA boost but personally I wouldn't recommend any clusters because you could've taken so much more interesting classes that you'd actually learn something from. Only benefit of taking a cluster is that you're guaranteed enrollment, which is actually a huge issue so that alone might make clusters worth taking because sometimes theres not even room to enroll in any GEs (I'm taking to you incoming freshmen reading this...)

Very interesting and insightful to learn more about the history of race in our country, as well as the affect of racism and discrimination on minorities today. Course work is relatively light and provides a great chance to sharpen ones writing skills. Great class to take for the education and extra writing credit!

This class is a super easy A+. There are no tests, a midterm that is an OUTLINE for an essay, and the final being said essay, Due to the TA strike, the test part of the final was optional but even then, the final was supposed to be essays based on class content. I loved going to discussions that were more engaging than the lectures, to be entirely honest. I only attended two lectures but then stopped because it was not engaging but I still ended the class with an A+ due to my participation in attending discussions, completing perusal comments (only ever wrote one sentence), turning in lecture observations (only ever wrote one sentence), and completed the final paper (did not even read the book for the final paper). If you enjoy history, this class will be an easy A. If you hate history like me, as long as you attempt to participate in the slightest, you will be fine! Take this class if you are interested in a Cluster!
