Super manageable class, and professor Muscatello is a sweetheart! There are 2 online exams, one in week 5 and one in week 10 (non cumulative) which were pretty easy. The labs had required assignments each week, but attendance was optional. Also don't buy the textbook I didn't use that thing ONCE.
I would say that she is very sweet and kind! Her lecture slides are very helpful and prepares you to understand the topics being covered every week. I barely showed up to the lectures and still did well on the two online exams 40 multiple choice questions each, 7 lab assignments, and 9 ALMs. The online exams were very easy with scenario questions given. First exam 108/120 & Second exam 111/120. I didn't try hard enough, but should study the scenarios that can help you succeed. The labs were not hard and I didn't show up after week 2, but attended the last lab. Some is based on Completion or Accuracy. ALMs are pretty easy based on completion. Extra credit offers a SONA study with 3 points & a Scientist Spotlight with 6 points. I did both receiving 9 extra credit points. 100% recommend taking her!
Psych 100B with Muscatello was great! Honestly a breeze of a class. Lectures and labs are both optional, so I just didn't go and did completely fine. The work in this class per week was a: lab assignment (graded on completion or accuracy, depending on the week) and ALM (applied learning module - short Canvas quiz graded on completion). It was extremely manageable, but the labs can be tricky sometimes because the TAs follow a super specific rubric and can grade a bit harshly sometimes. The midterm and final were both super easy. Would recommend!
