Winter 2025 - I loved Sustainable Architecture with Professor Wells. The class structure was a very light workload - it started with two essay assignments that were kinda long, 4 pages SINGLE SPACED, but I like writing so I thought these were fine. The next assignment is a daunting poster project but it was actually really easy so don't worry about this. Then the work gets lighter as the quarter goes on because he tries to accommodate for midterms and other classes. The final project is super easy, with a group presentation about giving a sustainable makeover to an area of LA. Walker is a very engaging lecturer - I know 3h class is daunting but he made it engaging. I enjoyed the class. I would always go even though he didn't take attendance. As a person, Walker does a whole lot for sustainability advocacy throughout the city, and he seems like a super cool person. As a teacher, he is engaging, answers questions very well and thoroughly and relevantly, and keeps the real world in mind rather than keeping everything abstract. Lecture is not mandatory and there is no discussion, but I recommend attending lecture. I never went to Prof's Office Hours because I had a conflict. I never did any of the readings and I was fine. No tests. I learned a lot! My TA Leo was good too. He was helpful and kind. Grades well. Never went to his OH.
