Quarter: Fall 2019
Grade: B

He uploads his lecture notes online but with blank spots so that you can fill them in as he goes through his lecture. Homework is never due. Midterm was really easy but I got behind and failed the final. Almost weekly quizzes that are very fair and he drops the lowest quiz grade.

Quarter: Winter 2016
Grade: A

Professor Marner is really sweet. He cares a lot about student learning and tries his best to engage everyone. By the end of the second week, he will know all of your names even in a 200 person lecture and will get everyone to participate at some point to make sure you are following along. His in class notes are helpful but he wastes an unbelievable amount of paper getting us to print out at least 10-20 pages of lecture notes per class to fill in the blanks. It is the 21st century after all. I would take a class with him again. The exams are very fair as well.

Dr. Marner is one of the best professors on campus. He really tries his best to get students to understand the material which is pretty simple. He posts unfinished lecture notes online to print out for lecture which I find helpful. Definitely take Marner for MAE105A.
