I'm the first to say that I really hate history. That said, I found this class pretty interesting. Worger is engaging (he has an Australian accent which always helps) and really cares about the material. It's clear he's not just teaching the class because he has to, he is legitimately interested in the material and enjoys discussing it. He's a cool guy. That said, I hated my TA. Her grading was anal and she was way too nitpicky for a GE class. The class difficulty depends on the TA and how they grade--you have two papers, a midterm and a final. Plus a map quiz at some point. Difficulty is luck of the draw, but Worger is a really cool guy and I'd definitely recommend him as a professor.
Very chill professor that cared about the subject material. History 10B was also a really interesting class for me because it addressed the issue of stereotypes in and about Africa in the Western world. The readings were interesting and pretty easy, the midterm and final mostly consisted of IDs and a few small essays. Interesting GE to take to learn about a continent that gets overlooked a lot of times.
