Prof Lee is a super nice professor but a really strict grader!! I have never had essays graded as harshly as her, although it seems that the final grade is quite a bit higher than my essay average thank god. Office hours are very helpful though, it really helps to go over her requirements on how to structure essays. Also, do the extra credit (reading a poem of your choice = +1 to final grade). She's also super flexible with deadlines and willing to give extensions. All in all I feel like even though she's very demanding, I walked away from the class learning a lot about how to actually improve my writing skills in terms of how the essay should be structured. Her slides are also very nicely organized and she provides many helpful resources/exercises.
