Prof. Wu doesn’t have a midterm, but the final is worth 50% of your overall grade. The final is pretty manageable as long as you understand the homework; the questions are very similar in style, just with different values or small tweaks. You’re allowed a cheat sheet on the final (one side, top half of a page). Lectures can be a bit dry and honestly might make you sleepy, but the slides are posted. That said, the slides can feel a little vague since they jump between topics without much transition.
This class is 50% final, 40% homework and 10% participation (although everyone got full credit there). Professor Wu is not a very good lecturer but you can self study by using his slides. The final was pretty straightforward and was graded very leniently. Not the best class but a good grading distribution.
I'm shocked that I am the first reviewer because this class was amazing! No midterm, manageable homework that the TA helps you complete in discussion, and the final was very similar to our homework assignments. He took the time to actually turn his lecture slides into a textbook to study for the final and was always open to help. 10/10 would take again and I appreciate him taking the time to make the lecture engaging and connecting it to real-life topics!
