If you have to take 30C, take it with Rubin! He was actually a pretty good lecturer, and I thought his jokes were awkwardly cute...they made me laugh. He went over the material at a pretty slow pace instead of just plowing through information, which gave me time to actually learn and understand the material. He also has a very generous curve (30% gets As, 30% Bs, 30% Cs)even though his tests are not that hard if you just go over the old exams and have an understanding of the mechanisms.

For an easy A in OCHEM, TAKE RUBIN! Ladies, he's also pretty cute IMO lolssss :)

Prof. Rubin was a pretty awesome professor. Everything from the test was shown in lecture, there were no surprises...like a certain Hardinger...and on top of that you could just go through his old exams, which he gives you, and those are just like the test you'll receive. I got an A+ and didn't put that much work into it, just stay on top of what is going on and you're golden. If you fall behind you have to try and catch up, but it really isn't that hard because if you understand 30A and 30B, 30C in my view was easier than all of them- you'll be able to catch up pretty quick. So go to lecture, go through practice exams and actually understand what is going on rather than memorizing, and you'll get an A. I guess the key component is understanding.

Dr. Rubin isn't a very good lecturer. He tries to make the class fun and while some jokes are funny, majority are not. I don't even known why i bother going to class. He pretty much reads aloud the textbook. He audio casts which doesn't help because ochem is very visual. The best thing about his class is that his curve is super generous. Pretty much 30% can get A's (includes A-) which is unheard of. His exams look the same from year to year so just do his practice exams and of course read the book.
