I looked around at midvale, atrium ophir, some randoms and I ultimately choose premier student housing. Midvale and atrium seemed pricey for the size and ophir terrace was just not my thing. Felt a little far out and the land lady turned me off.
I went and looked at premier and we settled in on a two bedroom at gayley we felt the location was unbeatable! I missed out on last year due to staying home and I wanted to have that same vibe that I had on the hill. The furnishings look nice, the management all seemed friendly and although I read some of the other reviews I actually have friends who live in the building so I knew they were happy here and now so am I.
This place is totally worth the money. I looked at many complexes but after deciding I didnt want a place full of roaches for cheaper I signed here. The building is kept in good condition, maintenance is so quick, and its been ideal for our school schedule. Its close to where we need to be ( still had to be on campus for practice) and we felt we got a good amount of space for the money. I also feel a good sense of community everyone is friendly and pretty much knows eachother. We had game nights and activities and so the pool and 65 inch included tv was nice and the sectional.
What I loved about this place was how quick the management responds to every email they respond typically in like ten minutes premier has been so on top of everything.
I felt safe here during Covid and supported. The furniture was brand new because they were worried about cleaning not being up to their standards they said so that was HUGE to me. We also got free maid service included which made finals and midterms easier taking a load off. Our utilities were cheap I never really use the a/c but we have it and having wifi included has been nice as well. As far as I know everyone has been really happy here that I have spoken with as long as you pay the rent their nice people and helpful.
The best apartment choice in westwood! Not only were the managers extremely helpful and kind but the maintenance team is always there to help out. I feel safe, comfortable and have found my home at axiom with premier so grateful. We love our netflix and hulu nights on our huge tv, and its the best location (doesnt get any closer to campus) coming from the dorm it was the easiest move ever too.
I was roommate matched in with Premier and I choose the two bedroom option. I felt it was spacious enough and I had everything I needed. I had a roommate prior but it didnt work out to well so I tried roommate matching this year and it worked out. Maintenance has been so helpful I love the maintenance team they do such a great job and are so quick. I also felt supported and safe. Its so close to the hill I literally roll out of bed.
We were so grateful to find this option. Our apartment with premier came fully furnished (literally down to lamps) this made our life so easy because it was going to take months to order furniture during covid with all the delays. I also loved that the appliances were included. The pool is huge, there are plenty of laundry machines, the complex is super clean literally never see a bug of any kind I see maids cleaning all the time. Our wifi was included. So glad I picked this over some of the other places I looked on strathmore. I felt like this was a cleaner better option
Ok here is the good bad and the ugly!
Its close to the hill. Its about as close as you can get to campus so the location is unbeatable.
The furnishings felt high quality (and its actually furnished you get ALOT of stuff I actually didnt realize how furnished it was it came with everything down to lamps. The manager is nice and maintenance has been fast they come out in like a day. I booked a double it was around a thousand a month the wifi was included by premier the rest of the utilities were not covered.
I was roommate matched and my roommate ended up being kinda messy but then again im a neat freak. They never entered due to covid so I dont think they ever mentioned checking things out for a cleaning inspection or anything like that ( i told my manager and she said she doesnt come out and do those unless you ask her to and then its anonymous to avoid upsetting the other person) We didnt get the free maid service included in our unit but its my understanding that most units come with it with premier so definitely ask!
The pool is nice , I didnt use it much due to covid, but over all it was a good experience minus the messy roommate but we get along so it wasent too much of a problem.
Premier has been super accommodating to me whenever we had an issue they were always on it quick. I have stayed here for about six months now and the lifestyle is good its nice because its so close to campus and with the whole lockdown I was still around all students. The apartment was also clean and in perfect condition when i moved in which i appreciated!
Carlos you are amazing! its a large building and he works so hard. Every clog they didnt blame us for and carlos fixed it asap the same day which we are truly grateful for.
Parking is charged which sucks but I guess thats westwood for the most part. Wifi is included which is amazing. Our apartment came furnished with premier and we feel it was worth it because we didnt have to purchase furniture moving out from the dorms. We got a pet and they didnt freek out. Our utilities are not bad at all the air conditioning is only a wall unit so it doesnt seem to push our ladwp bill up too high (utilities are the same no matter where you are its based on usage from what I understand) over all a good experience and im grateful for the maintenance help
I was prompted to write this review because I had a really good experience for really awful 2020! I was extremely frustrated to have to move in and go off to college remotely and I was concerned about my social life and mental health. But this experience made my year about as great as it could be.
I was matched by premier student housing into a two bedroom, when I moved in the apartment was super clean, and had everything I needed minus a shower curtain (which they ended up giving me one when I asked) they really care.
I have had only a clogged toilet once during my stay and no other maintenance issues. My friends live in other buildings ( i wont say names) have a host of issues so I truly feel grateful in comparison. My roommate and I actually have alot in common.
Our utility bill wasent alot but then again we never use the a/c because it hasent been all that hot (its based on usage)
I never used the shuttle premier has because during covid it wasent available due to social distancing (which I get)
They never entered my apartment unless I asked, there is no cleaning inspections (unless a roommate complains a roommate is dirty thats only when they get involved which we didnt have those issues because our apartment came with the free maid service)
Thank you for making my year a little bit better
