Okay so to start off, everyone we knew who lived in the building had a terrible experience so I’m not just speaking for myself. Premier Student Housing is disorganized, predatory, and absolutely not on the side of the renters. My roommates and I constantly felt like they were trying to scam us out of money with ridiculous hidden fees. For instance, there is a mandatory $250 cleaning fee PER PERSON...I don’t know what kind of cleaning they planned to do that would total $1250 for our single apartment. They would also constantly threaten us with “cleanliness inspections” and told us that if our apartment had things like cardboard boxes lying around we would again get fined $250. We had problems with our utilities bill (ridiculously high, about $80 a person per month), and they were rude and unhelpful in answering our questions about it. Each person would direct us to someone else in the organization to avoid having to deal with us directly. Also, we had a screen door in our bedroom that faced the balcony (yes just a screen door, nothing covering it) which meant our room would get ridiculously cold in the winter. The services they had promised before we moved in (grocery shuttle, sublet finding, etc) never materialized and we felt like we had been lied to. Avoid this place at all costs!
So glad we choose this apartment seriously. we were debating about atrium, roberts, midvale, or here and we found atrium to not be worth the money (small rooms no pool) roberts too far, and midvale too pricey for unfurnished.
We choose furnished here with premier and everything has been great, what prompted me to right the review was the stellar maintenance team. they come out same day, have been so nice and effective and really solve any issue which there hasent been much but our own clogs we caused twice.
I just feel like management treats you with alot of respect. We have had no bug issues, the furniture from Premier student housing was quality. The parking is a little steep in my opinion but over all such a good choice. Im renewing.
Best decision ever! I LOVE my apartment I feel completely supported by Premier and my apartment is gorgeous.
We needed desk, they got us five. We need a wifi booster, they had it next day. We needed cleaning, they sent it right out. Literally everything I asked for I got.
My apartment is also really nice! We have a view of gayley, a HUGE Tv, and large living room where we all hang out.
The pool is beautiful, we use it all the time. No utilities are not included besides wifi but who cares.
I feel I made the best decision. I lived at another complex before that was furnished on Midvale it was much more expensive and I moved here and I have more spaces, less roommates, and cheaper rent. LOVE IT!
I read the reviews and I feel I have to tell the truth. I feel like I had a lot of support here especially from Premier. From the moment I moved in my apartment was ready, clean, furnished and I had everything I needed. The furniture was nice and felt high quality. I did need to purchase a mattress pad other then that I was really pleased. Our WiFi is included and high speed. They even got us a free booster. Premier student housing works really hard I can tell because they fulfilled everything we needed and I felt I needed to speak up to a false review or one that seems really off. Anyone can go to the front desk for any request for questions so that review seems shady!!!
The utilities were completely easy to set up and the water bill is yes energy my roommates and I just Venmo eachother. I actually was roommate matched and now we’re close friends I was matched based on being a junior. We do get all our notices from them by email but that’s what is in our lease which I don’t mind. It’s super close to the hill and I referred friends who moved in and they also love it! I feel communication has been great, professional, and they have onsite maintenance who has been quick.
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! PSH is one of the most unprofessional management companies. First of all, they lie to you and say that you need to set up utilities, but they have this sketch third party thing IDK what it even is, its called Yes Energy that you have to pay and it makes no sense. Apart from this, the management sends emails at random times of the day with a bunch of typos and they are rude when you call them out on their illegal activity. To give an example, they once sent us an email saying they were going to come into our apt, no time was stated and it was not with a 24-hour notice. PLEASE do not give this building/management your money, there are cheaper options and more professional landlords in Westwood.
I had a really good experience here for the past two years. Its definitely one of the nicer buildings in Westwood and feels much newer and cleaner then the other buildings I looked at. It is pricey but I wanted a place that was clean, and not ridden with cockroaches or bedbugs. The apartment was spacious enough and we were able to fit desk and everything we needed. Its way more spacious then the dorms. Not all them are spacious though but mine was.
To the review below. We are disheartened to hear your feedback. We’re sorry we didn’t meet your expectations. We checked your file and show we covered your so cal gas, cable, and WiFi as described in your lease and on your hold slip prior to moving in. If there is any confusion please let us know. As far as subletting goes we keep a sublet list and perhaps you are not aware of that if you would like to join our premier community sublet list please reach out to us for help we would be happy to assist you. We hope through good service we can work together and meet your expectations
Although the area this apartment is located is great do not trust Premiere Student Housing. They are absolute and complete liars. Prior to moving in all of my roommates, myself included were all told different versions of the same lie and that was that utilities were included. However very few to none were. The only thing utilities includes is cable and wifi. Also, prior to moving in we were told that they would help us find subletters for the summer if we didn't plan on staying for the summer session. This again was a lie considering how they just now barely told us that they do not find our subletters and it is our problem to find someone. The only good thing about this place is the fact that it is fairly quiet and we have a balcony. Aside from that you're better off finding some place else because the rent is $1100 for a 2 bedroom apartment and although they claim that the rooms are spacious they aren't.
So far so good here. Everytime I have a clog they come out same day or next day so they are super fast on maintenance. Spacious enough. 2 laundry rooms which is nice. Front desk is helpful. Im on south campus so its super close like a five minute walk.
I had an awesome experience with this community! I feel they thought of everything.I rented from Premier Student Housing and our apartment is spacious we did the 2 b 1.5 option but this year we are looking to renew a 2 b 2 b because it wasent available when we originally signed up ( with five people its always better to have the extra bath but it was totally bearable with 1.5 since we dont have the same schedules anywayz ) the triple room is great that I live in. Its super spacious very high ceilings and I have a walk in closet. Our unit is furnished and we didnt need anything other then what we already have. The only downfall is parking is pretty pricey at 125 a month but its not shared and I dont have to park on campus since im so close.
