The landlady is unintelligent. Although she was lenient with the due dates of rent, it was probably only because she couldn't keep track. Bedbugs wrecked our place for a few months, the exterminator said it was a building-wide problem, and he claimed to have tried to convince the managers to tent the place over the summer but wasn't willing to loose out on the rent money. The kitchens are HELLA small, and the apartments lack natural sunlight. Live somewhere else.
Apartment building is falling apart and all the hallways and balconies slope downward and are unstable. Landlord is mildly helpful, but is never intrusive either. Our own apartment #409 is the best in the building with 17 ft ceilings and 2 balconies. Kitchen is tiny and cant even fit two people comfortably. The whole building was attacked by bed bugs Fall quarter 08, but is cleared up now. Generally the living space is tight but comfortable. The neighbors are quiet and not very social, but 409 is far enough away from the landlords so that parties never get in trouble.
