I've lived here two years now. Which I enjoyed most of it. I liked that I was able to leave summer. Sublet my spot. And come back for fall. With no rent raise! That's prettt much unheard of

Here is the honest review to end all reviews. I have visited this listing for several weeks and have withheld my opinions on this apartment complex. However, TWO things stood out to me that have forced me to write this review:

1) The ratings have been erratically bouncing between 2.8 stars and 3.4 stars.
2) There are over 70 reviews in the year of 2017 alone--an indication of false and inflated reviews.

While other apartment listings have less than 10 reviews and are sparsely submitted between months at a time, "516 Glenrock" happens to have upwards of 15 reviews in a single day. I assure you, you can count those as falsified reviews.

Why is it important to expose this issue? The falsified reviews are a reflection of the apartment and the management's uphill battle in regaining their reputation. Bruinwalk.com is a website that was created to provide more information to benefit the students. I am writing this review to benefit all you potential residents.

The truth is, this apartment has lost the respect of all their tenants. I have two examples that resonate with all of the tenants.

1) When the laundry machines were broken, management posted a rather petulant notice denouncing the tenants. Granted, it may have been an issue caused by tenants (jamming nickels instead of quarters), their sarcastic/defensive-charged response is a reflection of their lack of professionalism. Unfortunately, their lack of professionalism carries through in all maters, whether it is regarding move-in inspections or executing their word on fixing a sink leak.

2) Almost every week in the month of March and April, tenants are greeted with "NOTICE OF INTENT TO ENTER" your apartment unit. It's clear that the apartment is struggling to keep up with regulations. I imagine the apartment complex was "built to code," which means built with the minimal requirement to avoid legal disputes on the safety and condition of the apartment. I have lived in 4 different apartment complex in my life--nothing compares to the amount of maintenance this apartment goes through.

I don't need to visit bruinwalk.com to hear about how unhappy tenants are with living in this apartment complex. In fact, we tenants speak about the topic of management and its disorganization rather blatantly in the elevator ride.

To conclude, there are a host of issues that contribute to a negative living experience in 516 Glenrock. And the inconvenient truth is that you might not see all these issues until you are locked in a contract and live here. The fact that you meet your leasing agent in the courtyard and sit down on a dirty bench (that's supposed to act as an office space) should warn you about the direction that this business is headed in. Do NOT support this apartment complex by saying to yourself "it's a decent price point." There's more to it than pricing.

I am confident this review will be buried by 10 more positive, half-assed reviews. And when that happens, I will be contacting support from bruinwalk to take down all the superfluous reviews registered under the same account name in order to reveal the true rating of this place--a measly 2 stars.

I originally was hoping to get into the dorms and didn't last year . But this was available and was a good choice. Cheap. Spacious. A lot of my friends lived in the building so that was good. And good location to south campus from here furnished too

I think this apartment was great. Ucla Student Housing was so quick on maintenance. I got two parking spots (one tandem) which was free.. can't beat that. And I got to do a June to June lease very tough to come by thank you

The manager/leasing representative is a liar. When my roommate moved out, the manager conducted a move-out inspection. I was present, and I heard that the manager said that everything was fine and the unit was clean. However, I was recently told by my roommate that the manager refused to give back the deposit. The manager said to my roommate afterward that the unit was dirty and that a professional cleaner had to be sent to cleaning up our place. This is totally a lie. I am living here during the entire time, and no cleaner has ever shown up, and the management has never informed me that a cleaner will come. It turned out that the manager just wanted to find some reasons so that she does not have to fully refund tenant's deposits. Yes, the NOMINAL rent here is not very expensive, compared to other places in westwood, but you have to consider the fact that the manager will probably not refund your deposit. Each of us paid a $500 deposit, and if you spread that amount evenly for a year, that is about an extra $42 rent per month. I am sure that you can find a better place to live in westwood.

Rather find any place with a more respectful management. Terrible management shows no respect to tenants- UCLA Student Housing LLC.
