I'll just add to the chorus that says Mimie is a wonderful manager (even the Verizon guy said so). I've lived here almost 7 years, and I haven't had any trouble, except when they had to cut my room in half as per building code, and even then, Mimie let me stay in her spare room. Overall great experience.
Mimie is a wonderful person and the apartment is very close to the campus which was very convenient for me. Grocery stores whole foods and ralphs are really close by. My apartment was cute with wood floors and sunlight. I lived in a studio so it was a little small, 1bdrm probably would have been better. Neighbors like anywhere are hit or miss. Maintenance was always helpful and timely. Great for UCLA students on a budget!
The best apartment I have ever lived in! The manager is wonderful, very nice and friendly and always there to help you out! The apartments are awesome - tons of space, hardwood floors, two bathrooms in the 2 bedrooms, good kitchen and bathroom. The apartment building is also rather quiet, as the tenants aren't too rowdy, and it is on the edge of the mostly student-filled apartment area west of UCLA. I lived there for three years, and I was bummed to leave! Just excellent!
I stayed this place for the property manager Mimie and her family. They all were very kind and generous. In fact, they were the nicest property manager I ever had. She's very proactive in terms of helping tenants out on every aspect. She treats tenants nicely just like her family. I have no good comments and impression about the landlord. He was a rude money hound. All the landlord cared about is money and nothing but money. He kept increasing the rent not just annually, but quarterly at times and apartments were getting overpriced. He should appreciate his tenants more and he is fortune to have Mime and her family as his property manager. Without Mimie's hardworking and assistance, people would just leave instantly.
690 Veteran is probably the quietest apartment you can find near the campus. I stayed here for 2 years and was very happy with everything it had offered, especially with very helpful and kind manager, Mimie. I was very appreciative of her efforts. It is close to the shuttle stop, if you feel lazy to walk 10-12min to the campus.
My experience at 690 Veteran was the most pleasant experience throughout my stay in Los Angeles, CA. The building manager makes you feel home. She is very pleasant and always open to hear your opinion. If there are any concerns, she is efficient in addressing them. The building is clean and the neighbors are quiet.
690 Veteran is by far the best apartment complex I have experienced throughout my college career. Clean environment, 2 separate entrances, 5 minute walk to school shuttle, and an amazing management staff. The manager, Mimie, is very nice and was always available. I highly recommend this apartment.
Great building, close to campus, nice hardwood floor, Spacious rooms, quiet building! I really enjoyed the year I lived there. The manager, Mimie, is the best. She was always making sure everything was working perfectly for everyone. Overall, it is a great place to live.
