Description: Lecture, four hours; outside study, eight hours. Review of current literature in area of data structures in which instructor has developed special proficiency as consequence of research interests. Students report on selected topics. May be repeated for credit with consent of instructor. Letter grading.

CS 249 (Data Mining) Prof Parker is a good teacher. He is really concerned that students learn what he is teaching and make use of it in the real world. A lot of what he teaches is using the projector and as it involves code I would recommend sitting in one of the front benches. If you sit in the back you will not be able to see the small font on the terminal.

Spring 2020 - Confusing lecturing. PowerPoint slides were like over 100 pages and she just read all of the slides without explaining them. I was so confused and frustrated throughout the class. Exams were VERYB hard. We were asked to do a lot of math work and computation in only 100 minutes. However, the correct answer for a question was "this question couldn't be answered". I spent hella time computing and running algorithm. Then you told me the correct answer was not doing anything? Totally a joke. Giving students a difficult won't make you a good professor. And giving unclear lectures discourages students from learning. Don't take any classes taught by professor Wang, your life has so much more important things to do.
