Professor Davis teaches the class with movies, lectures, and slides. The good part is that she covers interesting topics. The bad part is, her delivery is mostly ineffective due to her style. She could improve a lot by mentioning topics rather than giving a timeline of events. That being said, the course work and lectures show korea in a different light than todays Kpop.

Fall 2025 - Tests were HARD, involving extreme specificity and memorization of population details in different countries. There was no section, which some may see as a plus, but I felt made it easy to fall behind. Professor Goodwin-White was nice and approachable, but somewhat disorganized, with the syllabus constantly disappearing off of the website, slides going missing/being uploaded late, etc. The lectures weren't very engaging or helpful, and the slides usually just consisted of screenshots of graphs, tables, etc. I felt sometimes like I was better off reading the textbook than going to class. I would take another class if you could.
