Winter 2018 - This is for Math132. He is definitely not the best one but he is very clear. Although he made mistakes during lecture and sometime ran over stuff without fully explaining it, he is very helpful during office hour. He knows how to explain stuff and that's what you need from a professor. Also, his tests are really reasonable compared to my other upper division classes, I can say that it is one of the easy upper division you should take. Easy doesn't mean free A though, you still have to work hard to get what you want, just not as hard. I totally recommend him to anyone.

Winter 2016 - Professor Andrews makes his lectures very very clear for us to understand instantly before class is over. His teaching methodology emphasizes both on math intuition and on reasoning. His twice-weekly office hours are more than helpful. Having a wonderful TA partner as well. His personality is brilliant and amiable and he is the professor we all love.

Summer 2020 - The class itself I found super dense. It is extremely theoretical and proof based, but if you take the time to memorize the proofs and the application, you will do fine. The professor was extremely helpful and clear, one of the best math professors I've had at UCLA.

Spring 2018 - Matthias is a very clear lecturer, and effectively builds up the course material from the ground up, which is the purpose of this class: proving the material of single variable calculus from first principles. He gave easy tests, with medians of 79%, 68%, and 81% (Midterms 1 & 2, then the Final). I got 98%, 93% and 96% by just ensuring that I knew and understood the import definitions/theorems from the class. The homework problems can be challenging, but extra credit problems on them should keep your HW grade close to 100%. He does grade on the absolute scale. Very chill guy, would take a class with him again!

Spring 2019 - I was really worried when starting this class, but Professor Austin was amazing! He was very helpful and would always stick around after class for questions. He is very clear with his lectures and even color codes everything! He also posted clear solutions and gave us similar proofs to homework problems or problems done in lecture in our exams. His office hours were also extremely helpful!! I highly recommend this professor!!

Fall 2024 - I really liked how she lectured, she was really clear with every step of proofs that she went over and it was really easy to follow along with her lectures and understand what was important. Her midterms were on the easier side imo and reflective of the material covered in class. (Our class did kinda trauma bond over the final though since she said it would "be a lot harder" and there ended up being a mistake in it and the TA did NOT handle it well) I do feel like she didn't care too much about student success though. It oftentimes kinda felt like she didn't want to be there when I was there for office hours, and some of my friends have had similar sentiments.
