Winter 2026 - This class was an extreme waste of time, and I would recommend taking any other elective if possible. Marketing should obviously be a super useful tool that everyone should understand a little, but it's also constantly evolving, and this class clearly uses content solely from the early 2000s. You'll literally spend most of your 11 weeks (including a pointless final project) making random surveys and getting graded really harshly on them. The most modern thing said is "you should have a website," which is pretty obvious, and it doesn't go further than that. Last I checked, marketing departments did a little more than just create intricate, overly detailed surveys all day. In the lecture, you'll learn basic concepts you probably covered in high school or even middle school. Look up a YouTube video on market segmentation, and it'll cover more than enough.

Winter 2021 - Worst professor at UCLA I have ever had. Take my word. Don't take his class. Don't take his class. Don't take his class. Unless you want to try your chance since there is always 20% students who will get an A. The grading is very arbitrary so roll your dice. I had a 4.0 GPA and this class I only got a B and there is no way to dispute the grade. Even though what he says doesn't make sense at all and he is not even able to persuade himself.
