Professor Acevedo is a very fair grader and is very knowledgeable on the topics that he teaches. He is very easy to understand and always connects topics back to his personal experiences which make lecture interesting. I would definitely recommend taking a class with him!

Very interesting course. I had wanted to learn more about Mexican Politics for a long time! Glad I could get into this course. His slides were good, even tho he didn't post them online. Not too hard exams, although the readings were challenging.

I took 154B (not 154A like it says above) with Professor Geddes, and it was honestly the best class I've taken at UCLA yet. The material is challenging, but she presents it in a way that unpacks it pretty well and as long as you pay attention you will have no trouble understanding the core arguments she presents. The midterm and final both focus on the big picture themes of the class. She is super knowledgeable and actually really really funny if you listen to her. AMAZING professor, highly recommended!!

I hardly ever went to class and got a B. He's cool, but since I was never there I don't know details lmao. It was a new class they were introducing, race and labor or some crap (M 165), so there were some mishaps with the midterm. basically it was thrown together and a piece of shit. But he made it up by making the final paper easy and making it worth 70% of our grade if we choose that route. I did. Worked for me. A lot of my friends really like him, but I don't think I'd purposefully take another one of his classes outside of familiarity.

Don't mind the course, it wasn't on the list. I took M165.
