I loved this class! Professor Martinez is kind, engaging, and funny. He cares a lot about the success of his students and his class is fair and organized. The theme of the class is loosely about trauma, and all of the assignments were unique and engaging. He has you write about 4 papers throughout the class with other weekly assignments that aren't too difficult. The workload is decently tough, but manageable. Overall I would absolutely recommend taking a class with him.
I really enjoyed this class! Professor Martinez is extremely sweet and engaging and it is clear that he works hard to make the class interesting and straightforward. We focused on relevant issues and frequently discussed current events, an aspect I especially enjoyed. There were quite a few readings for this course but they weren't too long and were usually pretty fascinating. Martinez only assigned three major writing assignments the whole quarter and gave ample time and feedback for each. Overall I would highly recommend this professor and class, on top of being actually interesting and relatively easy Martinez is so kind and funny!
