I feel like he honestly tries to make the material comprehensible - however, I never felt like he was genuinely interested in it, which is what I need for the material to transfer across to me!

Reading the other reviews, I realize that his teaching style may have been nice for other people, but for me it was a little out of order the way he taught us material and dispassionate the way he delivered it. I definitely think that Corbin would be harder, but is more passionate about the material. Do yourself a favor and take 1B in a quarter where you have time to go over the material :P

Bondarenko is pretty lit, take him if you have the chance. I had him for 1A and had a great experience, and decided to take him again for 1B. His lecture notes are super thorough, and he's incredibly approachable if you bother to show up for Office Hours. His reviews are literally all you need to know to succeed on the exams- I just studied the final review notes for the final exam and got a 95%. Another great part about this class is just how generous Bondarenko is with partial credit- I thought I bombed the second midterm, but managed to get ~85% with boatloads of partial credit.
All in all, great professor, slightly challenging tests but not as bad some others (Coroniti, Corbin etc), and good curve. 10/10 would recommend.

Pretty nice and receptive to questions, and a good lecturer. Follows the book closely, so reading it beforehand can give you a general idea of what you'll learn next in class in case you want a head start. One of the few lecturers that actually holds his own midterm reviews, which I highly suggest going to since they were pretty similar to the actual midterms. The final wasn't too bad, and was similar to his final review. In general, he loves Taylor series problems, though he gave the formulas for them so you just had to plug and chug. Otherwise, I thought his tests were pretty fair and standard.

I love Prof. Bondarenko! His notes are so clear and mind you, he HANDWRITES every single word in his 40-page notes (per chapter!). His lectures are so structured, which I love because I can take notes and understand so much better. He gave worked examples that he goes over with the class, which makes things more applicable. The topics covered in this class are by no means easy but Prof. Bondarenko sure helped me understand it! He's honestly one of the best Physics professors!

UCLA needs more professors like him. Genuinely cares about the well-being of the class. Exams are slightly difficult but fair and only cover topics covered in lecture. Additionally, he will hint what problems will be on exams in his review sessions and especially during his office hours. If you pay attention in class, you will do well.
