Good lecturer. Very organized. Everything makes sense. Little drawback: doesn't really care about you or his lecture most of the time. However, you will not need to read the book (even though you are highly encouraged). His lectures will be sufficient to pass the class with a good grade. Exams are not hard. Overall, this professor is highly recommended.

I think most of the reviews on here are a little too hard on this professor. The material in EE10 is not that difficult so its not like youre going to need a ton of outside study for it. He really encourages class participation and will always answer questions so that already puts him ahead of a lot of professors. Granted, his handwriting is pretty difficult to follow at times and every once in a while he will sort of hand-wave a problem unless someone asks him to continue. The homeworks were out of the book and weren't that difficult. His midterm was very easy, probably because the first half of the quarter only has about 2 topics which are both easy. I think about 1/3 of the class got 100% on the midterm. The final was harder but I didn't think it was that difficult. The mean was about 60% which makes it sound harder than it is.
My advice for you if you are taking this class is to just pay attention. Don't worry about scribbling down everything he writes word for word or freaking out when you cant tell what is written on the board. Just listen and understand the material rather than try and learn it on your own later. It will help a lot if you can ask questions during lecture.

He Might be a nice guy but a completely useless professor. He's very unorganized, the lectures he posts online are in awful handwriting and hard to follow, his lectures in class are disheveled as he just runs through problems haphazardly without slowing down to properly explain the application of the method he's using. Honestly, you can do well in this class by just reading through the book yourself because it does a much better job than him. The midterm will be rather straightforward (questions were straight from the problems in the book) but the final will be long and slightly twisted (he loves putting in dependent sources in almost all the circuits and make sure you know how to compute the Thevenin equivalent of circuits like the back of your hand).Overall, the ability to study on your own from the book compensates for the ineffectiveness of professor Daneshrad so if you have to take it with him, don't worry about it too much and skip lectures to make better use of that time.
