Professor Dutton was an excellent teacher. His lectures closely matched the handouts distributed at the beginning of each class, and since he doesn't believe in exams, the workload was managable; 2 essays, a map quiz and a final. He is very knowledgable on the subject and is passionate about what he does. Go to office hours if you really want an A.

Review for Viet 180B Reading assignments due every week. 1 Long paper 1 Final paper 1 Map quiz 3 short quizzes This class is definitely doable if you do the reading (even if it's just skimming) and pay attention during lecture. He's very passionate about the material but the lectures are long. Professor Dutton is very nice and also gave outlines of lectures so we could follow along.
