Dr. Moyle is an okay English teacher. The class is somewhat easy, with only two 6-8 page (double-spaced) essays about immigration, and ONLY immigration, as well as four single page (double-spaced again) short responses about immigration. The big papers factor into your grade, the short responses are used for participation, although she decided to give our class 100% on participation, since she is retiring in 2010. She is okay, not too too helpful. She gave me tips on revising my second paper, but it required having to clean up my entire paper without further help from her in less than 2 weeks (as if), one of which was finals week. She has a great habit of marking your rough drafts up, in different colours even. You might have to do presentations that answer essay topic questions (5 min long per 2 partners), and you might have to do debates (We didn't because she got sick). The reading is easy: it is short, most of the time, but sadly about immigration again. If you get bored when talking about immigration, then this class might be a downer for you. There are better teachers, maybe even easier in grading, but she's not a bad teacher to consider when those other lectures fill up.
Ok do not listen to the negative comments on here! Dr. Moyle is one of the best English teachers I have ever had. The class is soooo easy: two 6 page essays that are REVISABLE and four 1 page little baby short answers. She is really cool, entertaining, and helpful; she actually cares about writing and is meticulous in terms of reading students' papers. The reading is not that bad, seriously there are classes with 3 times as much reading (my roommate has Fretz for English comp 3 and she hates her life, as do the other students in that class). TRUST ME, TAKE MOYLE IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE. The other teachers really suck, I have heard.
