You'll get an A in the class regardless, but seriously save yourself the stress and find an easy A class somewhere else. He will pick on you and tease you. And if he senses you know a little about the language you will be graded on a completely different scale than everyone else. Doesn't hand out grades throughout and just dups requirements on you at the last week of class. Got the grade I wanted but I would have rather found something else and avoided unnecessary stress.
To the people who left negative reviews about Professor Kouloujian, I genuinely have no idea what you were talking about. I found Kouloujian's class to be extremely engaging and helpful, where I learned tons of Armenian history and was able to find out more about my language. He genuinely wants you to succeed---anyone who tells you otherwise is lying.
The class is structured in a manner where you do one lesson from the textbook between each class, so you have an adequate amount of time to properly review the material. Once in a while you'll write an "essay" which is just you trying your best to write about a certain topic in Armenian. If you give this class effort and don't slack, you'll be just fine. Take him!
