Fall 2020 - FOR PSYCH 119Y: Dr. Wong is one of the nicest professors I've had, and presents his lecture topics clearly where he can keep your attention for most of the lecture (sometimes can seem really long, ~75 min). His tests are fair, testing on mostly lecture material with corresponding material from the book. He holds office hours regularly after the lecture where you can ask about course material or even just have a nice conversation, and has introduced me to a topic that you probably have not taken at UCLA before. Highly recommend taking him for this class, easy upper div for psychobio!

Fall 2022 - I loved this class! The most difficult module was with Dr. Wong; we were tested on parts of the brain and given a lab practical to test our knowledge of associated systems, functions, etc. I studied a lot for this module and made Anki cards, created a Goodnotes notebook with all the notes from class + extremely detailed pictures/labels from the past year's lab practical + study guides that my friends and I created. Since I put in so much work into the Anki deck and notes, I was able to score a high grade on the exam and ended with an A in the class. I'm selling this bundle for $20. Text me if you're interested @ 925*856*7077!

Spring 2025 - Professor was goated! Open note exams. Best thing I would suggest is to write down literally everything he says on top of the content loaded in the slides. Course Breakdown: 3 exams, each 25%, 15% for attendance (clicker) and 10% for study sets. The study sets were questions similar to the exams and gave some insight as to how the exams were set. They were 30 questions, 50 minutes based on about 6 lectures. It lowkey was a bit of a time crunch but if you took good notes and listened to lectures you will be okay. Professor Wong is the best! (and lowkey fine)

Fall 2018 - Professor Wong lectures way too fast. He lectures on 2x speed. It was often hard to understand what he was trying to say. He is aware and told many times that his lectures are very unclear but still speeds through lecture slides. Exams were worded weirdly and tested on very small details from the slides. Memorize and learn the slides very well and you will be fine. Don't need the textbook. I depended on the TA for a lot of my understanding of the material.
