Summer 2026 - Really interesting class! You do not really have to do the readings (they are quite long and Josh summarizes what you really need to know in class) however I thought the choice of readings was actually really engaging and I learned a lot. Josh is an interesting lecturer and the topics were a great overview of major philosophers. The midterm and final are relatively easy papers, and Josh is very understanding about extensions and wants you to have a time in your summer! There is no other work other than discussion posts about the readings (two a week). Would definitely recommend!

Summer 2025 - Took his class over the summer and had a really good experience. Kind, helpful, and very easy to reach. He gives really thoughtful and detailed feedback on papers and clearly cares about students doing well. Would definitely take his class again if possible
