Really interesting class! You do not really have to do the readings (they are quite long and Josh summarizes what you really need to know in class) however I thought the choice of readings was actually really engaging and I learned a lot. Josh is an interesting lecturer and the topics were a great overview of major philosophers. The midterm and final are relatively easy papers, and Josh is very understanding about extensions and wants you to have a time in your summer! There is no other work other than discussion posts about the readings (two a week). Would definitely recommend!

You don't really need to do any of the readings in this class, especially if you are a bit familiar with the philosophers or political scientists beforehand. The midterm and final are both essays that feel fairly easy to complete based on all of the lectures. The class is not very hard and I found it interesting!
