This whole quarter has just involved me desperately searching for youtube tutorials for basically every topic we have covered and camping out at the SMC; thank God our TA has his shit together and is helpful. I don't go to lecture anymore because it's basically just powerpoint slides of theorems and her reading them out loud. Maybe two slides with examples mixed in.

General class details: weekly hw assignments with ~10-15 problems each but varies, weekly quizzes that are SUPPOSED to be covering the hw due that week but sometimes aren't, two midterms and a final. While others have noted the midterm wasn't bad, if you aren't doing well in the class (which isn't unreasonable considering her powerpoint teaching style) and mess up on a few things your score went down a lot for minimal mistakes.

Edit: I returned to class after not having gone for a while, and I have to say she improved over the quarter. She switched from pure powerpoints to working out problems on the whiteboard which was important, and she gave out a lot of hints for the final exam which I appreciated. I would change my warning to not take the class, into a caution to just be prepared to do a lot of self-studying and get a good TA.

This is a warning: do NOT take this class with this professor. Bad at teaching, bad at communicating, and not helpful at all. I usually try to make the best out of all of my professors, but with her, it's not even possible. Don't even bother taking this class with her; any other professor would be a safer bet. Hands down the worst professor I have had at UCLA so far.

This class with this professor is literally terrible. Please do not take this class. I saw the bad reviews on BruinWalk and said "it probably won't matter" and here I am, having just gotten a C and had the worst math experience of my life. Please don't make the same mistake I did. Take it another quarter if nothing else will fit.

She basically does not speak English. Her words are so broken that she might as well be speaking Chinese. Her weekly homework quizzes are not based on the homework and are not easy whatsoever. She does not have a grasp on how to make a class fair as she only says whats on the weekly quizzes one day before the first discussion sections quiz. She basically gives half the class two extra days to study for the quiz. Going to lecture is completely useless. I will say her midterms weren't that bad and were fair if you had a grasp of the information. I wouldn't recommend this professor if you can avoid it, but I heard the other professors are worse so I don't know.

Really hate this class. Thickest Chinese accent I've ever heard, used to use slides that were basically copied from the textbook (until the projector broke down, now she writes tiny and it's hell to try to see), doesn't explain anything that well. Stopped going to lectures, I stay around once in a while and regret instantly.
The workload is rough, although I've heard that's pretty consistent with 33A in general. She drops 3 hw and grades 2 problems on each. Some of the problems are basically impossible, so if you value your time/mental health just skip them and hope she doesn't grade them. (It worked for me, although that's sheer luck.)
Also got screwed on her quizzes since she flat-out lies/is incredibly wrong about telling us what sections are tested, but you get to drop 3 quizzes so not too bad.
Basically, screw this class, but tbh I don't think any of the other options are better, so good luck.

DO NOT take this class with this professor. I am a person who usually always goes to lecture but I have not been a lecture since week one. Going is a complete waste of my time. Sometimes I’ll stay on Friday’s when we turn in homework and although things have slightly improved they are still very difficult to follow. All quarter I have just been teaching myself which has been frustrating but I did well on both the midterms. This class has been extremely frustrating and I would highly recommend finding another professor for this course.

Ive been waiting for this professor to get uploaded to Bruinwalk because I’d really like to warn people wondering if they should enroll for Winter 2019: PLEASE DONT. Save yourself the fucking headache that this professor is. Worst professor I’ve had at UCLA for the reasons that others have posted. Her tests are probably easier than the other profs but I haven’t learned any linear algebra at all and it’s infuriating.

Stay away from her
