The topic couldn't have been a better topic - technology. Like the person below me said, she expects you to pay attention (this isn't a lecture hall where you can sleep in), but if you listen and write your essays, you'll do fine. Recommend always going in to talk with her about her comments and how you can improve because she's very good at offering suggestions.

I thought she was one of the best English teacher's I've had. She really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. I've never had a teacher spend so much time correcting my essays! She puts a lot of thought into her corrections and gives lots of good feedback for the final draft. She is very approachable and I recommend going to her office hours. She has zero tolerance for people who are late to class repeatedly or who sleep, however. If you stay awake, pay attention and put effort into your paper she'll love you though. Sometimes the lectures are boring but that's the same with all teachers it seems. For my class she had us focus on the role of technology in our society. I also liked how she worked in the television show, The Office, into her course. Overall she's a great teacher and I recommend her whole heartedly.
