I loved her, genuinely; she was amazing, and up until now, definitely my favorite professor. Granted, I started my journey at UCLA when the president of the US changed, and I'm a public health major, but she didn't criticize him nor the administration EVERY. SINGLE. Lecture, like some professors, she kept it professional, and I can only recall her throwing in 2 jokes about Tylenol and some other thing, overall, absolutely no problem.
So now, the nitty gritty, there are 5 quizzes in total, and she keeps the highest grade from 3 of them, you should be alright, especially towards the end, I'd say the topics get easier as you go, because you build on the material, and the quizzes are held during the discussions with the TA's, worth 20 points, each question is 2 points, so you basically have to try and ace it or AT MOST get 1 wrong. Other than that there are a fair few assignment, all of which are straightforward, and only help boost your grade, during class we have Kahoot, and participation as extra credit, really nothing hard.
The course itself, again, not hard, literally, JUST LISTEN IN CLASS, and you should be fine, all the pretentious people typing away with their loud nails on their keyboards...no, you don't need to do that, just listen, focus during the hour and a half, and you should be all fine (she also gave us a 5 minute break so there's that). All the TA's seemed alright, mine was great (her name was Jaime), learned a lot.
Ultimately, it's a core course so you have to take it, but don't stress at all, LOOK AT ME, don't stress, it's easy peasy, phenomenal professor, you can always get help during office hours, and yeah, good luck, you got this.

Marjan was a great professor, very informative and fun. She made the class very interesting and I enjoyed it a lot. There are 6 quizzes in lecture used for attendance, only the top 4 grades are taken and you are aware of the dates of all 6 quizzes before hand. There are also 4 in class assignments completed for credit. You must do all of them. No midterm or final just a final paper. And a category for homework too, No late work accepted. 25% for each category. Very fair.
