Go to lecture! The midterms and final are based on the lecture notes - basically just applications of what you learn in class. Also, his lecture notes are really thorough and systematic. I really enjoyed this class!

Super nice guy, put a lot of effort into the class. Average amount of homework. One thing that sucked though is that there was only one grading scheme.

Ben Neria is a great lecturer. His lectures feel like they are 40 minutes long despite being 30 and they are very clear, understandable, and, in my opinion, far superior to the textbook. That being said, his exams are difficult, but he has a fairly generous curve.

Professor Ben Neria is very dedicated and is also very good at explaining and proving concepts in lecture. He is also very approachable and helpful. He is a tough grader, especially with the more qualitative parts of his exams. His exams are fair and usually have at least one tough question in them. He also gives weekly homework of varying length. He is also hilarious from time to time with his savagery! Definitely worth taking his class.

Ngl, this class was pretty hard. He's a good lecturer, writes down a lot of useful info on the board, his lectures are worth going to, but the tests were still pretty rough. I studied pretty hard, and got an 80% on the final. I felt like I studied pretty hard and knew how to do most problems but when it came to tests, the problems weren't always very straightforward. It's not really his fault tho. I feel like he gave fair problems mostly on the tests, they were just hard problems. As long as you study well, you can make it in this class. Going to lecture is worth it, easier than the textbook. One issue though is that some of the material isn't from the textbook, so practicing those problems for the tests was sometimes kinda rough. TLDR: great lecturer, hard tests.

Professor Ben Neria always wrote everything on the whiteboard - literally everything. He wanted you to have the clearest view of class contents...however that may not be a fascinating way. Also, he might only cover things not covered in the textbook...which means you need refer to a complete notebook when you are preparing for tests.

Ok, here's the breakdown of grades (from syllabus):
"Your final numerical score will be computed according to the following scheme. S = 10% homework + 20% midterm 1 + 20% midterm 2 + 50% Final exam."

BTW, the tests are not so intimidating, as long as you really put your heart into this course.

Great professor. A bit accent.
