I had him for WAC 22. The class is out of 100pts. Do the readings because that's what you're tested on. Participate in discussion and go to lecture since that's part of your grade. There are two papers to do. Ask the TAs to edit them because they're grading them. Do this and you should do well.

I had Polk for WAC 22. I would highly recommend this class as an easy GE. There's one midterm, two collection assignments (about 3-4 pages), reading quizzes (two out of three are announced), and a take home final. The TAs also offer a lot of extra credit. If you talk to your TA about the collection assignments, you'll do just fine. You basically just have to skim the readings (some are interesting) because he goes over the readings in class. The class is pretty interesting and Polk is a funny guy. I got an A and would really recommend the class.
