Yo honestly this class was pretty awesome. The entire course was outside in the sculpture gardens, where we would talk about the Scandinavian short stories we were assigned to read. This class has very little work, but requires you to attend class and participate (or at least sit next to and talk to the Prof Wen so he knows you). There is one group presentation on a short story (abt 10 minutes) and an 8 page final paper. Besides that you just have to read/skim a short story or two before every class. Professor Wen is incredibly accommodating so if you have any issues he will definitely find a way to help. Also, I'm a STEM major and managed to survive all the literature analysis so you'll be fine. 10/10 professor. 10/10 class

Take this class if you can! Professor Wen is very kind and easy going and the course content was a nice change of pace from the classes that I've been taking. The readings are fun and also very short (usually only a few pages, besides a few longer ones). It's imperative that you do them and can provide some good insight, as he utilizes socratic questioning and randomly calls on people during class which makes up 20% of your grade. The rest of this class is made up of a group presentation (20%), short written responses to each groups presentation (10%), and a final paper that's between 7-15 pages (50%). Overall this class was much less stressful than the other ones I was enrolled in and I highly recommend!

I highly recommend taking Professor Wen. It's the easiest A you will ever get. I never went to class, never did the discussion posts, never participated in class. I only read what I had to to write a midterm paper and final paper, but they are both automatic A's. When I did read or go to class, it was actually interesting stuff! Just do it! Oh, plus, he is really cute ;-)

The professor is really knowledgeable about the subject and his positive style of teaching is infectious. I would greatly recommend the professor. He is easier than the usual professor, but you really should read all that is assigned, including movies, so that you have a little more fun in the class as usual. His lectures are pretty standard, but I definitely would not rate them boring.
