WAUNG was awesome! This guy was hilarious all the way through. He did a great job of lecturing because he included as little derivation as possible. The homework was not too bad but the tests were really tricky. That was the one negative about his class. His tests were very doable but they would have one or two things thrown in that you would have to think a little bit harder about to figure out. I would recommend him for the 6 series.

Waung was organized as well as humorous in his lectures. He clearly writes everything on the board in large words, so it is easy to see even from the back of the classroom. I had the most clear & concise lectures notes for his class than for any other. He is very knowledgable about the material & is always available to answer questions during office hrs. I recommend attending his office hrs since he explains almost all the HW prob's during that time. Waung was so considerate to his students: On the final day, he brought chocolate-covered espresso beans and See's candies for his students to eat. awwww~~ His midterms were very straight-forward: If you attend his lectures & understand the HW prob's, then you will be fine. I strongly recommend taking Waung any physics class you can for his organization, fair tests, and adorable smile!~ ^^

Prof. Waung is a very good Physics professor compared to the others out there. Although the midterm and final were long, they were definitely fair. I definitely recommend Prof. Waung.

He is one of the BEST professors at UCLA. If you go to his lectures and take good notes, there is NO NEED to read the book. He is VERY concerned about students learning and he is always around. The midterms are long for a 50 minute midterm, but they are OK.The final was long but wasn't something you did not expect. I never went to discussions so I don't know about the TAs but there's actually no need for that IF you go to his lectures. Overall, take his class, he is GREAT.

After a wonderful experience with Abachi for Physics 6A (note the sarcasm), I am so thankful to have taken Physics 6B with Professor Waung. I don't even know where to begin. It seemed like everything that he did was for the best interest of the class... I found him to be a very unselfish, kind person. His tests were more than fair. He is so articulate; if people are having trouble learning the material, it definitely isn't because Waung lacks the ability to clearly communicate the concepts during lecture.

I feel like I learned so much in professor Waung's class. I encourage you to take physics with this professor! I only wish I could have had him for Physics 6A.

Professor Waung is a knowledgeable and articulate instructor. This was the first quarter in which he taught electricity and magnetism, and I thought he did a pretty good job. If you want to perform well on tests, you should definitely do his suggested problems (not required), and also redo the homework. And about his jokes, they're funny 'cause they're outright blatantly corny. But that's okay since he's a really nice guy.

This professor is great!! I always felt welcomed in seeking help during office hours. He was extremely patient, very nice, and explained concepts in a clear, logical manner. I thought his lecture notes and problems from the textbook were quite sufficient in preparation for his exams. The midterms and finals were very fair, and partial credit helped considerably on some of the more difficult problems. If I had the chance of taking a future physics course, I would take Waung again.
