Professor Stenzel was my all-time favorite mentor in Physics! I took his courses and did experimental research in his lab as an undergraduate student at UCLA. That was 1985-1987.
Years later I followed his example of excellence and humility, completed my Ph.D. in Applied Physics at Cornell, became a Principal Investigator at NASA - Johnson Space Center, and faculty in the National Space Biomedical Research Institute at Baylor College of Medicine. Throughout those years I often thought of Reiner who has forever inspired me as a mentor and I am forever grateful to him for nurturing my passion and admiration of physics.
Thank you Reiner.

E&M was boring enough to begin with and Prof Stenzel did not help. Lectures were also boring and same goes to the homework. The exams would have been infinitely difficult if the TA hadn't helped us.

There is a reason he typically is the 4BL advisor and so does not talk to students very often: Professor Stenzel is boring. He does not talk loud and is often hard to understand, which is kind of a shame because electricity and magnetism is really interesting.

His homework is not bad so long as you go to discussion so that your TA can decipher everything.

The tests were actually really easy, which made up for the sub-par lectures.

Dr. Stenzel is professor most concerned with student learning that i have ever had. I don't know why he only has a 7 in that category, he should have a 10, hands down. His class isn't easy, but he knows his stuff. He's very available too if you have questions. Other than that, the class i took wasn't curved, so as long as you do the work, you'll do fine in the class.
