Fall 2023 - I LOVE Dr. Carptenter! He is the best professor I have had at UCLA and I have taken another course after this one, taught by him, just because I enjoyed this class so much. There are no other grades besides the speeches you give in class and he prefaces that everyone will do well as long as they put in effort, as he is aware that people have trouble with public speaking. He is super engaging and you can tell he truly cares about his students and loves what he does. I will 100% take any other course he teaches!

Winter 2023 - Dr. Carpenter was definitely the best professor that I have had in my time at UCLA. His lectures uplift students and empower your vision/voice. It was nice too to hear both sides of arguments that he gave during debate classes. He never made anyone feel bad. This not only was an easy class, but one that I looked forward to everyday. ROB IS THE GOAT
