Other reviews may be outdated. She was pretty cool in my opinion. She was strict but it helped students succeed. A lot of freshmen take her class, that's probably why they think she's mean. As a senior, barely writing this review (lol) I can say she was not bad at all. She gave really good advice so we could write our papers, grades fairly, and knows what she's talking about. You have to talk at least once in class or she will call you out on it. By that, I mean she will say "*NAME*, what did you like about this weeks reading?" or "what did you learn?" or "what do you think about it?" easy questions!!!!
Only material is 1 course reader. I still have it and can ship it to you for $10 through Venmo. Tracking info will be included. I just want to get rid of all my books. So yes, it will be shipped out asap. Text me: (424) 204-2951

I don't know if it's fair to say Griffin plays favorites. I think she can tell who is going to/willing to contribute to class discussions and appreciates those students a little more (even if that sounds bad, it's just true). She is the type of teacher that is going to care about your grade as much as you care about her class. Of course she comes off as playing favorites when over half of the students blow her class off. A

Aside from that, I think she is a great professor. She is very opinionated but I think that is what made her class more interesting. She is also very approachable as long as you get past the fact that she may pick on you in class from time to time. Definitely an A you have to work for but you get the opportunity to revise two of the three papers you have to do for the class. I recommend taking Eng. Comp. 2 with Griffin regardless of the previous evaluations. I was very surprised by how much I ended up enjoying/appreciating the course!

Do not take her class. She only gave one A in the whole class. You will not learn anything in her class and get a bad grade.
You will get a B if you work hard but forget about getting an A.
