OK, some things need to be set straight here.
First of all, you should never, EVER use the words "incredibly easy" when describing this guy's midterms. They are most definitely not incredibly easy. but I also think that if you study enough it's not hard to pull off a B/C, which will equal a A/B after the curve. The questions weren't necessarily "ridiculous", just... aggravating. Because when the TAs *and* the professor tell you that you don't need to know dates on the midterm, and then you get asked like 10 questions about dates on the midterm, it just seems a little unfair. I don't know, maybe it's just me.
Anyway, you might spend a lot of time stressing about your grade during this course, but in the end I think you'll probably get a decent grade if you get at least 60 or above on the midterms and final.
oh, and the labs give you a free 30% so don't miss them.
If you want an easy A, take this classes. You don't even have to go to class to know the stuff. Just go when you know there is a quiz (there are 2 ten point quizzes and you get 4 pts on each of them for just being there). Just go to the labs because that makes up more of your grade than midterms and final. The labs are easy and if you worked with a partner and asked the TA enough questions, you will get all A. There are two midterms and a final. All of them have all multiple choice problems. So not that hard. 80%+ gives you A for midterms. The final contains most questions from midterms. One thing though, it is hard not to fall asleep during lectures. He is not that boring but people still fall asleep. If you are able to stay awake through the lectures, A is even easier.
Someone wrote an eval. saying they took Harrison for italian. Wrong harrison, dumbass.
ESS Harrison was pretty good. He isnt incredibly exciting, but not boring either. He does a decent job of conveying the course materials. If you go to class, you should do fine. His midterm was incredibly easy.
Also, you get free points by going to lab, because the TAs practically give you all A's on every lab, as long as you finish it.
Well, I don't think ESS8 was really a very exciting class... but if you need to take something to satisfy your GE requirement... he's not a very difficult professor.
