Chichester was a great English professor. Overall, her workload isn't hard, though she can be a tough grader. 2 main papers, a letter, and a one-pager. She requires drafts for all of the assignments except for the letter, which she wasn't too critical about. I had an early morning class, but Chichester was always a bundle of energy. She's such a sweet person, and she really cares about students improving their writing. Definitely go to her office hours, and she does give clearer feedback in a very supportive way. She's very approachable, and I recommend taking her class!
There are four papers in this class and the most you have to write for any of them is 4 pages double spaced. She also grades your journal and expects you to go for every class. If you go for office hours and actually make an effort, you should be okay! I'm selling the course reader so pm me at ********** if you're interested!
Chichester was a great professor for Comp 3 and actually made me enjoy writing. You should definitely go to her office hours because she helps you a lot with editing essays.
Selling course reader, text me 1**********
This class is not easy, but Dr. Chichester is clear in what she wants and gives great feedback for your papers. There are 2 papers and 1 one-pager for this class, but there are office hours right after class+extra office hours where Chichester gives you feedback on your drafts (and she writes lots of comments). To suceed in this class, you just have to try to go to office hours as often as possible to get comments from her, as she only looks at one or two paragraphs in your drafts each time. Would definitely take classes with Chichester again.
Professor Chichester was a fantastic teacher. Due to my not-so-strong background in English, I was terrified of going into the class. However, Chichester makes a sincere effort to make students as comfortable as possible with writing papers through drafts. She's very lenient when it comes to grades and provides very useful feedback for first drafts. Take her without hesitation.
Also, selling a course reader for $38 (it's $50 with tax in the bookstore). The course reader is in good condition, with very few annotations on a few pages.
She's a very good and helpful professor!
I'm selling her course reader of "Writing the environment" for ENGCOMP 3 for $36 ( in the UCLA is 50 with tax. The book is like new without any marks or annotations.
