This class was really rough. Antunovic's lectures seemed to go around in circles and he only went through proofs without explaining any of the problems that we would encounter on the homework. I taught myself all of the material with the help of the book and Khan Academy. His midterms and final were also incredibly difficult.

I do have to say that he made himself very accessible. I really appreciated the amount of office hours that he had and he also held review sessions before the final. I've never worked harder in a class and ended up with a B-, which I was incredibly thankful for.

Bottom line: If you're good at teaching yourself the material, this is a good class for you.

Tonci is a fun and friendly professor. He seems to explain the materials in a very hasty way, but if you can keep up with him, you will have a very good command of the class material at the end of the class. I didn't really go through my notes or textbook before the test. To prepare for his exams, be aware that his tests are very challenging and could be harder than assignments or practice tests. The final is doable but it's kinda impossible to do perfectly on it. The median of the class is usually below 50/100, fyi. The grading is fair.

Antunovic was was of my favorite math professors at UCLA. He genuinely cared about his students and was very helpful during office hours. His exams were very challenging but doable if you truly understood the material. I liked that the emphasized theory so much in class because I actually understood the material and I am now able to use hose concepts when they come up in other classes, which they do a lot.
