Kazer is a great professor overall. He really cares about his student's writing and he will actually read your writing and provide lots of feedback. The workload is not too bad, just three major essays that will be a big part of your grade. Just don't procrastinate on those. It's not an easy A class but if you try hard and have good writing skills it should be relatively okay. He was one of my favorite professor for this quarter!
Horrible grader, No matter how much I fixed my essay to his liking I still received C's on all my papers. He did not really care for your argument, just if you wrote the paper how he liked it. He was chill and participation did count but his grading was weird.
Professor Kazer was a very good discussion facilitator. Even with our relatively quiet morning class, he still found a way to make things engaging. In terms of the three papers we had to write, he gave good feedback on each one, and dedicated class time to peer-reviews so that we would have a good grasp on what to fix. The themes of advertisements and media were also very interesting and gave plenty of topics to write about in the essays. Overall, I would definitely recommend taking Kazer's class.
